Ridges of her thoughts,
Deceiving, deep, dark and darker
To flow forward, her journey,
Yet swelling at the gorges narrow and steeper
Chill of the wind drawing the life off her breathe,
To freeze, to choke, to bury,
looming as the death
Scared, petrified, of that sprawling drought
Her light, her life, threatened to be put out
Scattered, she fumbles, moving about and around
To know, can only flow ahead or be gone
A drib of light, A tinge of strength
She allowed it to carry her on!
Then what appeared like the end of the path, the apocalypse itself
Was just an edge, a deviation from within
her self
After all those turns and twists, she appeared by the corner
To find the gorge opening into a canyon
Wide – Large – Receiving – Accepting
She flowed through it, to the pace of her heart
Bathing in the sun and the light abound
Cast in a new glow, moulded by the journey and its fury
Embarking, accepting, the way ahead in its glory
Her strength, the mightiest
Her spirit, the strongest
The depth of her darkness adding streaks of wisdom to her mane
Wild as ever, they will be carried with all of her pride and pain
For now she knows what she can flow through
For now she knows where she needs to be
For now, at last, she is everything she is meant to be!
